Will hemp come up in a drug test?

While Hemp and Cannabis both belong to the Cannabis plant family, they differ in their chemical composition. Hemp contains low levels of THC, which is the compound that produces the "high" often associated with Cannabis use. Drug tests are designed to detect THC, so if you use hemp products containing less than 0.3% THC, it will most likely not appear in a regular drug test. If you are worried, you could use products labelled as "THC-free" or "broad-spectrum," meaning they still contain beneficial cannabinoids and terpenes but no THC.

Is hemp legal in Australia?

Hemp was legalised in Australia in 2017. Hemp crops produced in Victoria and Tasmania will not have a THC level of greater than 0.35%. In New South Wales, Western Australia, South Australia and Queensland it’s not greater than 1%. Hemp products will not give you a high often associated with Cannabis and most hemp skin care will not contain THC.
