Our Story
What we thought was just an ulcer turned out to be stage 4 bowel cancer.
Not something you expect to happen in your 30s, and also not something you would expect in your 70s. We all think we are invincible until we are not.
In my mission to help my husband survive, I looked into Cannabis but got lost in red tape, scientific journals and some very odd YouTube videos. I was confused, felt lost and frustrated.
Today, it's much easier to access medicinal Cannabis, but it's still not as easy as it should be. There are still a lot of stigmas to break down, not enough easy-to-understand information and not enough empathy. My goal is to make it easier for you to unlock the power of Cannabis. After spending years in depressing and dreary hospital rooms, I wanted 420s to look and feel completely different and bring more positivity and vibrancy to your wellness journey. Cannabis won't make you invincible, but hopefully, it can make you feel more balanced, healthier & happier.
P.S. Hubby is now officially cancer-free after 5 years of clean PET scans. It still feels unreal and we're still a little bit scared. I don't think that feeling ever goes away. For anyone going through a similar journey, I feel and see you; you are not alone. Much love, and keep fighting; you've got this.
Malini Sietaram
Founder & CEO
Malini was born and raised in Amsterdam, the Cannabis capital of the world. After working for legendary hip hop brands like Karl Kani, Cross Colors and Pelle Pelle, she hung up her baggy pants and moved to eBay. eBay brought her to California right around the time that Cannabis was legalised; she was intrigued by all the brands and dispensaries that immediately popped up, quite the difference from the Dutch "coffee shops". She left her role as the Global Head of Content & Social Media Strategy for eBay to follow the aforementioned hubby to Australia, where she became the inaugural Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for Cashrewards, Finder and Brighte, respectively. After being the first CMO for three beautiful Aussie brands, she decided that the next thing she would build was her own brand, 420s. Malini strongly believes that we can make a positive impact through the power of Cannabis, and that healthcare can be more empathetic and filled with beauty. Advocating for your own or a loved one's health can be daunting, and she's keen to help people who, like herself, feel lost and frustrated in their wellness journey.
Her family would like you to know that she holds an MBA from the Erasmus University, Rotterdam School of Management.
